Emporia Telecom are poised to launch in the UK in the coming weeks
Emporia Telecom has confirmed the appointment of former Doro man Tim Berry as its new senior national account manager for the UK and Ireland.
It follows the vendor’s announcement of Chris Millington as its UK and Ireland managing director last month, with Austrian-based Emporia preparing for its UK launch in the coming weeks.
Emporia specialise in manufacturing telecommunications devices designed for the 65 and above age demographic.
Berry spent eight years at Doro, where he built commercial relationships with a number of brands including; Tesco Mobile, Argos, John Lewis Partnership, Freeman Grattan and ASDA Mobile.
Over the course of his career Berry has spent over 30 years in sales roles across consumer electronic companies including Sony and Sharp.
Commenting on his new role, Berry said: “I am delighted to be joining the company as it launches in the UK and Ireland. It is a great opportunity to reinvigorate and take a leadership position for telephony device sales in the senior category.”
Welcoming the appointment, Millington added: “We know there is a huge appetite among retailers and networks for a strong senior-focused brand with heritage, and a commitment to re-ignite the senior category in telecoms in our markets.
