Doro MD Peter Marsden vacates MD seat to run new direct-to-consumer division

Doro UK and Ireland MD Peter Marsden is heading up a new Doro direct-to-consumer division, He has been replaced as MD by senior channel account manager Ben Crompton.

Crompton has 20 years’ experience in the mobile industry and has worked at Orange and BlackBerry. He joined Doro in 2019 and will be working to expand the business’s product offering alongside Doro’s senor leadership team, including Doro president Jörgen Nilsson.

Marsden said: “I have enjoyed my time as managing director across UK and Ireland. I’m now excited for this new role of growing our Direct-to-Consumer business. This will be a key focus for Doro in 2024”

Swedish company Doro specializes in mobile devices designed for seniors and individuals with visual or hearing impairments. They feature larger buttons and screens, enhanced amplified sound, and simplified menus and interfaces. They usually include an emergency or assistance button.

Products incude the Doro Watch and Doro Tablet and forcoming Doro HearingBuds,

“This demographic is often forgotten by tech manufacturers but is and will remain a priority for this company.” said Nilsson.
