The restructure will also see a research and development centre in France close
Doro CEO Jérôme Arnaud is to leave the Swedish manufacturer next year following a change to staff structure within the company.
Arnaud has been with the company since 2000 when he joined as Doro care and business division French MD. He became CEO in October 2007. A statement from Doro’s board claims the changes will ‘create the operational synergies needed for success.’
He will remain in the role until a replacement has been selected. Doro expects this process to be completed by early next year.
Doro acting chairman of the board Johan Andsjö said: “Jérôme has during his nine years as CEO created the vision and led Doro to a unique position as the global leader in the senior phone segment.”
Arnaud added: “I have been working for Doro for almost 16 years, of which nine as CEO, and I must say it has been a fantastic professional journey full of challenges and satisfaction. This could not have been achieved without my team, with whom I have established a trusting relationship, board members and shareholders and other stakeholders who have supported our strategy and growth.”
The decision is part of a new restructure which involves the closure of one research and development site in France and ‘staff optimisation’ in Sweden. These will come at a cost of more than £4 million.
