The broadband provider claims the device will offer faster speeds than products from its rivals

BT is launching a new Smart Hub router which it claims offers the UK’s most powerful WiFi signal, with fewer dropped connections and faster speeds than rival products.

The device (pictured) comes with seven antennas. This gives it an unbeatable wireless range, according to the broadband provider. Also include is technology designed to allow several users to operate multiple devices at the same time at faster speeds. Additional filters also help block interference.

The device launches this summer and existing customers can request their interest online. Customers can either get one for free when they sign up to a new broadband contract or by purchasing one outright for £50. No exact release date has been confirmed by BT.

BT consumer, commercial, marketing and digital MD Pete Oliver said: “Customers want a quality connection throughout their homes and the new BT Smart Hub delivers the UK’s most powerful WiFi signal so customers can enjoy WiFi in more places.”
