Deal sees PMGC become the largest Vodafone platinum partner in Scotland, taking its base past 60,000 connections
PMGC Technology Group has acquired fellow Vodafone platinum partner Veecom Systems for an undisclosed sum.
The purchase is understood to give PMGC Technology 8,000 additional Vodafone connections and takes its total customer base to well in excess of 60,000 numbers.
The Veecom Systems brand will remain, as will its office in Edinburgh, with the team fully integrated into the wider PMGC Technology Group. Tony Miller will head up the account development team, Gary McGuff will lead customer acquisition efforts and Shona Lumsden will manage customer services in Scotland.
It is PMGC’s first dealer acquisition since its formation in April 2012. It was established after PMGC bought Vodafone platinum partners Premier Mobile and Phonebox Communications, giving it a base of around 54,000 connections.
In addition to the new office in Edinburgh, PMGC’s head office is located in London, and has three other locations situated throughout the UK in Solihull, Altrincham and Sunderland.
PMGC CEO Jason Yeomans (pictured) said: “The acquisition of Veecom Systems makes us the largest Vodafone Platinum Partner in Scotland and we are excited to work with the company’s existing customer base, developing new products, solutions and services such as Managed Hosting and Cloud Computing, all designed to deliver smarter ways of working and drive their businesses forward.”
“As a Scotsman myself I’m really excited that we’ve been able to make this significant investment in line with PMGC’s long-term strategy. With the Scottish economy entering an exciting time, particularly in locations such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, this acquisition made sense. We’re looking forward to PMGC having a local presence to support Scottish businesses to work smarter and drive growth.
