Mark Goulding takes over after first joining the Vodafone dealer in August 2010
Vodafone, O2 and EE dealer Next Communications has promoted Mark Goulding to the role of managing director following the retirement of founder Mark Finlayson.
He takes responsibility for the company’s direction and performance, alongside the training of its 10 staff members. Goulding took over from Finlayson, who established Southampton-based Next in 1998, earlier this month.
Goulding joined the Southampton-based company in August 2010 after its merger with nearby Test Valley Communications, which he founded three years earlier. As a director at Next, he has overseen the running of its fixed line business and engineering team.
Finlayson said: “This was a carefully thought out and planned succession following the integration of the two areas. It’s gone from strength-to- strength as both the landline and mobile sides have grown, yet customers know they will deal with the same team.
“Mark taking over is also a measure of long-term security for the staff. I’m very proud of what we have achieved and delighted that Mark will be taking it forward.”
