Carphone Warehouse
Chocolate BL40 is ranged on O2, Vodafone and Orange networks through Britain’s biggest phone retailer. Free on a £35 per month tariff on a 24-month Orange contract.  Meanwhile, the Samsung Jet and Tocco Ultra have their prices slashed by £130 and £150, respectively.

Phones 4U
‘Live internet feeds’ and free movie downloads are used as point-of-sale sweeteners in Phones4U, this weekend.  Samsung Jet gets you £20 worth of mobile downloads while the Nokia N97 will deliver you only one.

Vodafone
The Sony Ericsson W205 is the attractive, budget phone for mass market users, available free from £10 tariffs or £40 when bought with £10 Top Up. The Nokia N97 uses the 32GB version and a month’s free Comes With Music for Vodafone customers.

O2
The Palm Pre is to launch on October 16, exclusively on O2 at a time when US sales of the device are reported to be dwindling. Samsung ‘Solid Extreme’ ties consumers into a £9.79 a month contract over 24 months, offering 75 minutes and 100 texts.

Orange
Orange undercuts Vodafone with a less-than £25 Blackberry Curve monthly tariff deal, offering the same social networking and free web surfing gubbins inside. The funky Monkey prepay tariff offers free music and texts on any prepay low-tier Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung phone.

T-Mobile
Now that the Nokia N97 is available in-store, Nokia’s voice looks set to soar even higher, and louder, in T-Mobile high street outlets. For now, it’s the XpressMusic 5800, the business-focused N79 and the consumer-focused 6600 which take up most of the marketing voice.
