Samsung unveils Galaxy Core Advance

Smartphone becomes the third to be released in the range, but manufacturer is yet to provide launch details for it in the UK 

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Core Advance smartphone. It will come in blue and white, with UK availability announced in due course.

It is the third device in the Galaxy Core range. The original Galaxy Core was announced in May while the Galaxy Core Plus was announced in October.

The Galaxy Core Advance is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It has a 4.7-inch touchscreen, five megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory that can be extended by 64GB with a microSD card. It has physical keys on the front and side for the voice recorder, camera, volume, menu, home and power functions.

The smartphone also includes functions and accessibility features for disabled and visually impaired users. Optical Scan recognises text from an image and reads it out aloud and an instant voice recorder offers access to make voice notes.
