EE Power launches for customers today

Reward scheme offers all current active customers a free portable charger, who can also swap it for a fully charged product at any store when theirs is low 

EE Power, the new reward scheme from the operator that offers customers a free portable smartphone charger with unlimited swaps in-store, has launched across the UK today.

It is now available to all active customers on mobile and broadband plans on a 30 day, 12, 18 or 24 month plan. It is also available to prepay customers as long as they have been with the operator for at least three months. Non-EE customers must pay £20.

Customers can pick up a free EE Power Bar (pictured) in any EE store by texting ‘POWER’ to 365 to receive a unique code.

Once it has been used to charge a smartphone, customers can recharge the portable battery pack themselves or when out, swap it for a fully-charged replacement at any EE store – for free and as many times as they like.

The EE Power Bar has a capacity of 2,600mAh, which the operator said is enough to charge a typical smartphone once, and takes around four hours to charge from flat to full.

It has a guaranteed life of 500 charges and features a charging indicator and LED torch. Also included is a USB lead to charge the bar and a smartphone from the bar.
