T-Mobile opens Retail Leadership Academy

Around 80 employees from T-Mobile’s 260 UK stores will be involved in the academy’s first year. Successful applicants will receive one-on-one coaching from managers, formal personal development plans, practical training sessions and mentoring from retail colleagues.

T-Mobile area managers will nominate staff members for the academy. Promotion opportunities include assistant managers, deputy managers, store managers, area managers and, potentially, head of field operations.

T-Mobile director of retail Russell Taylor said: “There are real possibilities for long-term careers in the retail sector with T-Mobile. Working in our stores can be much more than a Saturday job.”

Also this month, T-Mobile launched unlimited mobile broadband capped at £4 a day.

It has also reduced Web’n’Walk Plus from £29 to £20 a month and Web’n’Walk Max from £44 to £35 a month.
