Samsung appoints Rob Orr as B2B European telecoms VP

Former BlackBerry UK and Ireland MD, who quit the manufacturer earlier this month, tasked with driving Samsung’s B2B mobile business

Samsung has appointed former BlackBerry UK and Ireland managing director Rob Orr as vice president of B2B for European telecommunications operations (ETO).

He is responsible for leading the relationships with the networks to drive growth of the manufacturer’s B2B mobile business across 17 subsidiaries and 42 countries.

Samsung said he will work closely with European B2B vice president Andrew Mills to develop services for its business customers and partners that integrate mobility solutions within its portfolio of offerings.

He will also work closely with ETO’s current vice president Jean-Daniel Ayme to focus on building Samsung’s consumer mobile business.

Earlier this month, Orr quit BlackBerry with immediate effect having spent seven years at the company. Since last August, he had led the company’s operations in the UK and Ireland.
