Olive in ‘strategic’ Vodafone deal

Olive Communications has signed a strategic deal with Vodafone and expects to double its monthly connection rate by the end of the year.

Olive Communications said it has signed a new deal with Vodafone-owned Yes Telecom to put 80 per cent of its connections to Vodafone.

Olive, a Yes Telecom ‘gold’ partner, claims to have recently jumped its new connection rate from 300-400 to 400-500 per month, and it expects numbers to pass 600 per month before 2011. Olive has a customer base of around 20,000.

Olive managing director Mark Geraghty (pictured) has recruited seven staff to the company’s Acton office in sales and customer servic roles. “We have signed a long term agreement.

Nearly all of our business goes through Yes Telecom now, and we have committed to it on a long term basis. We have a terrific relationship with Yes Telecom and Vodafone, and the commercials are now fantastic,” said Geraghty.

Olive Communications is expected to be one of few dealers to trial Vodafone revenue share.
