Phone and tablet will run Android 2.3 and 3,0 respectively as manufacturer looks to further increase Galaxy success
Samsung’s Galaxy S successor will be called the Samsung Galaxy SII. With a larger screen and faster processor, plus NFC support it is similar to the Samsung manufactured Google Nexus S but with improved performance.
With a 4.3-inch display, with 800×480 pixels and a dual-core 1GHz processor, plus Samsung’s TouchWiz UI (V4) and camera interface , the Android 2.3 OS handset will be competing against other impressive Android smartphones coming out; including LG’s Optimus 2X and Optimus 3D and the the Motorola ATRIX
The Korean manufacturer has also unveiled its new tablet – the Galaxy Tab 10.1 which will run Android 3.0.
The 10.1-inch tablet will come with full (1080p) HD video recording, with an integrated 8-mega pixel camera and sports dual pseudo-surround sound speakers. The device will also be powered by a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset.
The Galaxy Tab II joins the Motorola XOOM and LG Optimus Pad, with Motorola matching the Samsung with a 10-inch screen, while the LG Optimus Pad will have a 9-inch screen, but with 3D capabilities.
