Mitch edges JB as mobile Top Dog

Samsung UK and Ireland vice president for mobile Mark Mitchinson was voted Industry Personality of the Year in a live audience vote at the Mobile News Awards 2010, held at The Hilton on Park Lane on March 18 and hosted by top UK comic Michael McIntyre.

Latest voting handset technology meant that each one of the 870 guests was able to register a vote from the list of nominations (see below).

Interestingly, LG Mobile UK and Ireland sales and marketing director John Barton who is to leave the industry next month, was only 14 votes behind the Samsung star.
