LG to unveil 3D handset at Mobile World Congress

The mobile industry’s first 3D device, the Optimus 3D, to be showcased by the handset manufacturer at Mobile World Congress from February 14-17

LG will unveil the Optimus 3D at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from February 14-17, making it the first 3D handset to be released to market.

The company said the handset will be its most advanced smartphone to date and feature a “complete form factor for a one-of-a-kind experience”.

So far LG has only said that the Optimus 3D will include a dual-lens camera for 3D recording, a glasses-free LCD panel for 3D viewing and connectivity options such as HDMI and DLNA for multimedia content to be shared. Pricing and availability details are yet to be announced.
