‘Phablet’ and three tablets launched by the manufacturer, all running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and with differing screen sizes
ASUS has unveiled a trio of tablet devices at IFA – the Fonepad 7, Fonepad Note 6, Memo Pad 8 and Memo Pad 10.
The Fonepad 7 ‘phablet’ is an updated version of the version announced at Mobile World Congress in February. It is powered by a 1.6GHz processor and has a seven inch screen.
Also included are a five megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front camera, HD video recording, with either 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded by microSD.
The Fonepad Note 6 is described as a tablet by ASUS and includes a stylus. It is powered by a 2GHz dual-core processor and has a six inch screen.
It features an eight megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel camera, HD video playback and 16GB or 32GB of internal memory.
Both the Memo Pad 8 and 10 have a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, have dual speakers and come with ASUS’ SonicMaster audio technology.
The Memo Pad 8 has a five megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front camera, HD video recording, and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSDXC card.
The 10-inch variant has a two megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front camera with either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory.
Details on UK release and availability have not been released yet.
