The deal is with online medical placement company Clicklocum which claims to be the largest source of pharmacist locum cover in the UK.

The idea is that locums will be able to use their WAP phones to get details of where and when they are needed to cover for regular pharmacists.

BTCellnet will be distributing the Siemens C35 WAP phones free of charge to Clicklocum subscribers from this week.

The phones will be pre-programmed for easy access to the WAP site.

The service will be rolled out to include nurses GPs and hospital doctors.
