Six Degrees makes Cloud hosting buy and raises new funding

Managed data services provider acquires Cloud Computing Centre, and agrees new £8 million funding package with Penta Capital

Six Degrees Group has acquired managed Cloud hosting company Cloud Computing Centre (CCC) and raised £8 million in new funding from private equity firm Penta Capital.

The purchase sees over 100 mid-market hosting customers from CCC who spend an average of £36,000 a year added to Six Degrees’ base. CCC is also Microsoft Gold Partner and Silver Hosting Partner.

The purchase is Six Degrees’ 11th since its formation a year ago takes its run-rate position to £50 million revenue and £12m EBITDA. It now serves over 2,400 customers.

Six Degrees Group CEO Alastair Mills (pictured) said: “This is a significant acquisition for us as it reinforces our mid-market focus, strengthens our managed Cloud hosting team and brings outstanding technical capabilities to the Group.”

CCC CEO Keith Bates said: “We felt the time was right to join forces with one of the fastest growing managed data service providers in the sector, especially when we have so much in common.

“Joining Six Degrees Group will significantly strengthen our ability to win mid-market and corporate Cloud hosting contracts and to deliver new services to our existing clients.”
