Continued growth also planned for pre-existing territories

Indigo Telecom is eyeing up expansion into Spain and Singapore, alongside continued growth in its pre-existing markets.

The fixed and mobile infrastructure provider is looking to hire up to 100 new staff initially in the new territories. It estimates beginning operations in the two countries in the next six months, due to high customer demand.

Having acquired Irish broadband provider 4site networks at the end of 2019, Indigo is also planning growth through further acquisition, though it has not disclosed any specific targets.

In its current British, French and German operations, Indigo is hiring cabling technicians and business development workers, while 4site is recruiting fibre designers, project managers and surveyors to support national broadband rollout.

“We are seeing significant growth in key areas of our business – fibre and wireless design/build/support and data centre transformation,” said Indigo Telecom group chairman Kevin Taylor MBE (pictured). “Our goal is to continue with our acquisition strategy and recruit more talent to strengthen our position as a trusted engineering and services partner to customers who rely on Indigo to deliver real and long-lasting value.”

Indigo’s growth plans follow on from its appointment of Chris Newall chief commercial officer and Mark Orcchart as group product and bid director at the beginning of July.
