Role will be taken over by Group CEO Tim Whiting

CEO of Phones 4U’s distribution business Mary Grant has left the firm due to ‘personal reasons’ the retailer has announced.

Grant took the role in January 2012, joining the firm from travel operator First Group Plc, where she was CEO. At Phones 4U she was charged with growing the online and high street presence of the retailer.

Her position will be taken over by Phones 4U Group CEO Tim Whiting who combine the role with his current responsibilities.

A spokesperson for Phones 4U said: “Mary Grant has resigned as CEO of Phones 4u’s distribution business, for personal reasons. In the interim, Group CEO Tim Whiting, in addition to his Group responsibilities, will take on the role of CEO of Phones 4u. We are grateful to Mary for her contribution to the business over the last 18 months, and wish her all the best in the future.”
