Latest addition in the Samsung Galaxy range of devices to go on sale in July

Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4U and EE have confirmed they will stock the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini when it goes on sale in the UK in July.

Customers can pre-register their interest in the smartphone on the Carphone and Phones 4U website, with EE announcing it will be sold on its 4GEE service as well as on its Orange and T-Mobile brands.

It will come in black and white, with both a 3G and 4G variant available. Pricing and availability details will be available in due course.

Carphone Warehouse customer solutions group director Claire Winstanley said: “Our staff met a large amount of customers in store who want the power and features of a smartphone but in a lighter and more compact handset. The S4 mini appeals to this group of consumers and as a retailer we’re excited about the wider choices we can offer these different customer groups.”

Phones 4U chief commercial officer Scott Hooton said: “We know that there’s a huge appetite for Samsung Galaxy devices, with the Samsung Galaxy S4 being the biggest selling new smartphone of 2013 at Phones P4. With the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Samsung has packed the incredible new features into a smaller design which will appeal to a different audience, and we anticipate it will be well received by our customers.

“We know that screen size is really important, with YouGov research showing that 54 per cent of people say that this is in their top five most important features when picking a new smartphone. With the addition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini to our current handset range at Phones 4u, we will have an extensive collection of Samsung smartphones to suit all tastes.”
