Vodafone Group to appoint former Arm and Orange execs to board

Simon Segars recently stepped down as CEO at Arm, while Delphine Ernotte Cunci was deputy CEO at Orange in 2010

Vodafone Group has announced that two senior industry names are joining its board as non-executive directors.

Former Orange deputy CEO Delphine Ernotte Cunci and Simon Segars, who recently stepped down as CEO at Arm will be appointed to the board on July 26 after the company’s AGM.

Although the appointments are subject to shareholder approval.

Cunci spent 26 years at the French operator Orange and was deputy CEO at the company in 2010.

She’s currently the president of France Televisions, the country’s national broadcaster and has held this role since 2015.

Meanwhile Segars led semi-conductor business Arm from 2013 until recently as CEO. He joined the business in 1991 as an engineer.

Between 2017 to 2021 Segars was also a board member of the SoftBank Group.

“They are well-respected leaders who bring extensive experience and track records of value creation across the telecoms, technology and media sectors,” said Vodafone chairman Jean-Francois van Boxmeer.

“I look forward to Delphine and Simon’s valuable contribution as the Board and management team work closely together to drive the execution of Vodafone’s strategy.”
