Truphone says Conference Assistant service solves dropped call frustrations

The new cloud service, announced at Mobile World Congress, is currently in beta testing

Truphone claims its Conference Assistant cloud service will solve the issue of redialling numbers and passwords when reconnecting to a conference call.

The MVNO unveiled the beta trial version of the service in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress today (February 22).

It said the service eliminates common frustrations from losing conference call connections. For example, if a user loses connectivity in a conference call, Conference Assistant automatically redials the number and password once a connection has been found again. The user does not need to locate these details themselves.

Truphone, an international MVNO part-owned by Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich, operates on Vodafone. No software is required to download the service, which works on any phone and network.

Chief innovation officer James Tagg said: “We have all experienced the frustration of joining a conference call when we have to rush out to our next meeting. Step into the elevator and the call drops. What follows is a mad scramble for the conference call number and the log in details to re-join the call. Truphone Conference Assistant solves this.”
