Ward joined Plan.com three years ago and has previously worked in customer service roles at the distributor
Plan.com has appointed Steve Ward to head up its Partner Support team.
Ward will be tasked with managing a team of five Partner Support Executives (PSEs) who will deliver specialist support to Plan.com partners.
The Isle of Man-based company works with over 650 mobile, hosted-voice, fixed-line resellers across the UK.
Each PSE will lead one UK region, where they will deal with all post-connection issues.
The five regions include the north, covering Northern Ireland and Scotland, three central divisions and the south.
Ward takes on the role from Plan.com sales manager Michelle McAteer, who will continue to oversee advertising and strategy for enticing new customers to the airtime distributor.
Ward has worked in the customer service department at Plan.com since joining in 2015, with roles as manager of the division and more recently specialist support manager.
Prior to the role Ward spent 26 years working as a police sergeant for the Isle of Man Constabulary.
Speaking to Mobile News, Ward said: “I want to take the level of service we provide and give customers an ever better experience. I want to build better relationships with our partners and a more comfortable working environment with them.
“Our partners, quite rightly, demand across-the-board excellence. That’s our commitment to them.”
