Expansive dealer aiming for top tier next month as it says it is on course to meet the operator’s annual targets

Vodafone gold partner Savin Communications is more than doubling office space and adding five new staff as part of plans to gain platinum status next month.

The Brentford-based dealer, which only became a gold partner in April last year, claimed its performance over the past 12 months had put it on the verge of achieving platinum status.

Savin managing director Vinod Zada (pictured) said the company was set to meet Vodafone’s targets to become a platinum partner. The targets are understood to include 1,500 annual connections and total monthly billing spend of more than £200,000.

Zada claimed the company added more than 3,500 new connections in the past 12 months, with around 2,000 from O2, taking its total base to around 6,000. Zada expects this figure to top 10,000 during 2013.

The firm won Vodafone’s silver partner of the year award for the 2010/11 financial year, and claims to be among the top two contenders to win gold partner of the year for 2011/12.

To fuel its growth plans, the company is moving to a larger suite of offices in its current building, increasing office space from 800 square feet to 2,000 square feet.

It is also recruiting new staff to fill positions across business development, service and telesales departments, which will take numbers to around 20.

Savin managing director Zada said: “We are flirting with winning gold partner of the year, we are very much up there, definitely in the top two.

“We are on the verge of going platinum and we have very little left to do before April.

“We now can’t really do much from our side, we just hope that our customers collectively bill £200,000 this month, we are so painfully close.

“If we make it to platinum in April, I think we will be the only dealer to make it in 12 months from silver to gold to platinum.”
