PAYG returns to revenue growth for first time in 10 years
Vodafone UK has announced its most recent quarter ending September 30 was its best ever for new subscribers across its offerings.
The operator said that more than 500,000 new customers had joined the network. Of this, 371,000 were Pay As You Go, 106,000 were mobile contract, and 61,000 were home broadband.
More than one million customers are now using Vodafone’s new unlimited data plans and broadband plans, such as Vodafone Together, which combines unlimited home broadband and mobile data.
Vodafone’s Pay As You Go business is also back to revenue growth for the first time in 10 years, the operator added. It cited MVNO VOXI as a key driver behind this, with the youth-oriented brand adding 92,000 new users in the quarter.
Vodafone UK CEO Nick Jeffery said: “We are challenging the market with our new customer offerings, building the UK’s best 5G and full-fibre networks and improving customer service both online and on the high-street. We have come out of the blocks quickly in the first six months of this year and have many more great customer products and services planned for the second half of our financial year to continue to reward existing customers and attract new ones.”
