Venture capitalists raise $96 million for Nothing

London-based consumer tech youngster Nothing brand founded 2020 has concluded a $96 million fundraising round.

The fundraising was led by London-based venture capital firm Highland Europe, with participation from existing investors Google Ventures, EQT Ventures, C Capital, and house music group Swedish House Mafia.

Nothing now employs 450 people across seven offices worldwide,  The Nothing’s Phone (1) has won the Red Dot Design Award, The Nothing Phone (2) will be launched on July 11.

Added Highland Partner Tony Zappalà who will be joining Nothing’s board. “It has been quite some time since a new company of this scale and ambition has reached this stage, given the difficulty and complexity of surviving in such a competitive environment. We are enthusiastic about supporting Nothing as they take on the consumer tech giants and challenge the prevailing norms.”
