Around four million Brits are expected to buy the phone at launch

An estimated ten million Brits are planning to buy the upcoming iPhone 13 over the course of the next 12 months.

That is according to a Uswitch study which polled 2,000 UK adults last month.

And the online comparison website says that four million are set to buy the new series when it launches later this month.

One of the most important features for the new iPhone 13 is a longer-lasting battery (35 per cent), while a lower price than last year’s model is the next most desirable (34 per cent).

The study also found that over a third (38 per cent) of Brits have a loyalty to buying Apple phones, with 42 per cent impressed with the ease of using an iOS device.

For those that don’t want to buy an iPhone, the most common flaw is the cost, with 54 per cent of consumers put off.

Uswitch.com mobiles expert Catherine Hilley comments: “Apple has the most loyal fans of any smartphone brand, and it’s no surprise that millions of iPhone users will be queueing up to get the newest device as soon as it launches.

Hilley added: “Cost is a concern for many users, with a lot of people looking for cheaper devices after a year of lockdown, but there will always be buyers for the top-of-the-line devices, despite their £1,000-plus price tags.”
