Three UK has launched a £1 a month subscription-based service, called ‘Three Device Security’ offering enhanced protection against scams, fraud, malware and phishing attacks across both Android and iOS devices.
The technology is from cyber security company Bitdefender and the launch comes as Three UK reveals it blocked nearly seven million scam messages** in the first two months of this year.
The Three Device Security app includes Bitdefender’s features such as Web Protection to scan for fraudulent sites and filter dangerous web traffic , Scam Alert that monitors messages and notifications for malicious links, Account Privacy tools to alert users to breached credentials, Malware Scanner and App Lock for Android, Device Scan*for iOS to check for misconfigurations
The service also integrates with native device functions such as Calendar and Messages to provide a deeper level of fraud detection.

Last year, Three UK blocked over 40.89 million scam messages. The operator also shares regular scam alerts and safety guidance with customers. In November, the company j Which? and major banks in urging the UK Government to make fraud a national priority.
