The offer will be available to the MVNOs 5.2 million UK customers
Tesco Mobile has announced that it is offering all of its customers free unlimited calls during the evenings and weekends in a bid to keep customers connected during the coronavirus lockdown.
The MVNO revealed the offer goes live from today from 8pm (April 3) and will cover both consumer and business customers, an includes both pay-as-you-go and pay monthly plans.
During the week free unlimited calls will be available between 8pm and 8am to Tesco Mobile’s 5.2 million customers.
Tesco Mobile also revealed customers can access a range of websites without using monthly data during the pandemic, including NHS UK, Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Samaritans and Age UK.
Commenting, Tesco Mobile CEO Tom Denyard said: “At Tesco Mobile we always want to support our customers in the most helpful way. In these unprecedented times we’ve seen a huge increase in our customers using their minutes allowance with relatively little change to data usage or text messaging, so free minutes felt the best way to help all of our customers right now.
“We wanted everyone to have a chance to talk to their loved ones for free each day, especially the most vulnerable and those in isolation. We put our customers first and know that now, more than ever, every little helps.”
Last week Tesco Mobile confirmed that it won’t be raising tariff prices mid-way through a customers contract.
