Resellers will now be able to offer MendIT’s range of extended warranty and insurance cover for mobiles, tablets, laptops and desktops
Tech Data Mobile has signed an agreement with extended warranty-provider MendIT to offer its services to resellers.
The Basingstoke-based hardware distributor said its mobile reseller and dealer partners will now be able to offer MendIT’s range of insurance and extended warranty products and services with smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
Options being made available include contracts that will cover physical damage caused by liquids, fires or floods, as well as every-day usage.
Tech Data Mobile business development and services director Simon Smale said: “This agreement with MendIT adds further value to our lifecycle services portfolio and gives our partners an additional way to drive incremental margin.
“We’ve received a tremendously positive response to our approach from dealers and resellers who are looking to offer a complete package of services for business mobility.”
MendIT also offers smartphone repair services, which will be added as of today (August 24) to Tech Data Mobile’s product portfolio including extended AppleCare+ Warranty, financing options, and its recently-added airtime agreement with Total.
It already offers insurance services through SquareTrade, which Smale claims will be complementary to MendIT’s offering.
