The salary sacrifice scheme allows reseller employees to contribute part of their wages towards a new phone

Tech Data has teamed up with Grass Roots to offer a service it claims can help reseller employees save up to 42 per cent on the RRP of new handsets.

‘Phonescheme’ will allow reseller employees to contribute part of their salary towards the cost of a new phone. The service can save participating businesses up to 13.8 per cent on employer National Insurance contributions, according to Tech Data. The scheme is free of charge to employers and Grass Roots will handle all the management and administration.

Tech Data Business Development and Services director Simon Smale (pictured) said: “As well as giving both employees and employers the opportunity to save money, it can help sales staff to develop a real enthusiasm for products that will help them convey the benefits to their own customers and sell more smartphones.”
