B2B dealer bags deal with insurance broker Arthur J Gallacher after six months of ‘intense’ negotiations
Sunrise Associates has beaten off competition from Vodafone, O2 and EE to land a multimillion airtime and fixed deal with insurance broker Arthur J Gallacher (AJG) worth 1,600 connections.
B2B dealer Sunrise, landed the deal, which was previously managed by Vodafone direct, following more than six months of “intense” negotiations after the account first came up for tender.
All 1,600 connections, which remain on the Vodafone network, have now been switched over to Sunrise. All connections include airtime and data, with a gradual roll out of handsets over the three year contract term – starting with 400 BlackBerrys.
The deal also includes 400 fixed line connections, which have been connected through O2.
According to the firm’s CEO and founder James Evans (pictured), annual billing on the three year deal will surpass £2.2 million, with connection numbers expected to rise “significantly” over the duration as AJG expands.
Biggest yet
Evans told Mobile News the deal was one of its biggest and most profitable yet for the company.
He claims AJG selected Sunrise based on its “entirely independent” approach and its flexibility to build the deal around AJG’s needs whilst addressing any previous issues experienced.
“When we say we are independent, we really mean it. We have solid relationships with all our network partners and will model a deal on our customers’ needs rather than someone else’s.
“It’s a big achievement for us and shows we can mix it with the biggest players in the market.”
