It’s a more compact version of the Xperia 1 II smartphone
Sony has announced the Xperia 5 II smartphone with the handset due to arrive this autumn in the UK.
The 5G-ready smartphone will begin at £799 and is a follow up to the Sony Xperia 5 that was released last year.

Sony’s latest flagship features the return of a triple-lens rear camera, plus Sony’s 21:9 6.1-inch CinemaWide display.
There is also an 8MP camera on the front, while the phone is also capable of 4K HDR 120fps recording.
The Xperia 5 II is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G chipset, which is compatible with the next-generation connectivity.
It will initially run on Android 10 OS and comes with a 4,000mAh battery plus 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of memory.

Sony has also leveraged its PlayStation side of the business with users able to connect their PlayStation 4 controllers to the device to play games.
The Xperia 5 II has been designed with gaming in mind with a 120Hz refresh rate display providing users with a faster gaming experience.
