The move marks a priority for Radius to capitalise on cloud opportunities

Radius Payment Solutions has struck a partnership with cloud-based provider NFON UK.

The partnership will see Radius add NFON’s cloud telephone system, Cloudya, to its portfolio, as the company seeks to expand its telecoms division.

It continues Radius’ telecoms push, with the business – which initially started off as a fuel card company – making a number of acquisitions in the last two years.

This includes Rainbow Communications, Connect Total Communications, Pure Telecom and Trinity Maxwell.

Commenting on the partnership, Radius managing director Ray Ferris (pictured) said: “The timing was right to add a cloud telephony product to our portfolio. We chose NFON as we really liked their product, people and its pan-European reach.

“We fast tracked our partnership with NFON as we wanted to start capitalising on the market need for cloud communications immediately. We see huge growth opportunities across our portfolio for customers who we can take on the journey to cloud communications, as well as new business growth segments.”

Power-charged

NFON, which is headquartered in Munich, Germany provides voice-centric business communications from the cloud and has over 2,700 partners in 15 European countries.

NFON UK channel director Jon Dailey added: “The market for cloud telephony has been power-charged over the last year, as businesses of all sizes shifted to new working models that require much more flexible communications systems.

“The U.K. market has changed significantly, and cloud telephony penetration is forecast to reach 37.8 per cent of the total market by the end of 2024, according to the Cavell Group.”
