Paul Jacobs promoted to Exertis trading director

Exertis has appointed Paul Jacobs as its new Trading Director as part of a management reorganisation designed to “sharpen the distributor’s focus on key markets” including AV, Components, IT Solutions, Mobile, Print, and consumer channels.

Previously, Jacobs was Trading Director for Devices. He assumes responsibility for commercial, purchasing, and business development functions. Jacobs joined Exertis in 2018 as Director of Business Development and Innovation, following an 18-year tenure at Tech Data, where he was Business Unit Director for consumer electronics, accessories, and new technologies.

In other leadership shifts, Jonathan Sutherland, previously Retail Sales Director, is now Managing Director of Exertis Consumer. Jamie Brothwell takes the role of Managing Director for Exertis Business and Lisa Bird is appointed as Sales Operations and 3PL Director. These leaders will report to Phil Turner, Chief Commercial Officer.
