Openreach has announced Kasam Hussain as their partnership director covering the Midlands.

Hussain will be working with policy council representatives and business leaders from across the region as Openreach ramps up work to make “full fibre” Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) broadband available.

Openreach aims to bring faster broadband speeds to 4000 people living and working in the Midlands and have recruited 360 new fibre engineers this year to support the FTTP build.

Hussain said: “I’m really looking forward to being the link between the many exciting things that Openreach does and our partners across the region.

“We work closely with a lot of the councils already through our work to make superfast broadband available, something I’ve been heavily involved with for the last six years, and I look forward to extending those relationships even further, as well as making new ones.”
