Similar expansion plans are underway for North America

Olive Communications has began its international expansion with the opening of an Australian office to support its global cloud managed service platform.

The Vodafone Total Communications Partner has announced that the Australian subsidiary, which is based in Brisbane, will operate under the name of Olive Cloud Solutions. Olive provides for over 3,500 businesses and over 160 large enterprises, and in January this year passed the 150,000 milestone for connections.

Olive CEO Martin Flick has said that the move to expand globally is to meet the demands of customers that want global support for its services.

Flick said: “For many years, we have supported corporate citizens working for UK-based organisations using an Olive device as they travel the world, day and night.

“However, as the needs of our expanding customer base changes, our developing global portfolio and support model is evolving to ensure we continue to be best in class.”

High Wycombe-based Olive has also set out plans to launch a similar operation in North America to deliver “in region” support to customers and end users. Olive, which has a partnership with Mitel, will work closely with Mitel’s leading Australian partner Azentro in Australia.

Initially, Azentro will be helping the Olive team in Australia with overflow support to deal with busy periods and a joint sales and marketing strategy, where some Olive workers have been on secondment for the past few months.

Flick added: “Our combined proposition with Mitel and proven capability both in-house and with Azentro will continue to help our customers reduce cost, improve productivity and enhance the service they deliver to their own customers, across borders and time zones in a single cloud solution.”
