O2 will provide KPMG employees with new business services to support remote working

O2 has been awarded a new mandate by KPMG UK to provide the professional services provider with connectivity tools.

The operator will supply KPMG employees with new business services which include remote working tools that has helped the company operate during the lockdown.

During the lockdown O2 rolled out remote working tools across all of KPMG’s UK business operations.

Key to securing the new deal, has been O2’s environmental commitment, which has aligned with KPMG’s sustainable procurement programme.

Earlier this year O2 became the first UK telco to pledge its intentions to reach net-zero on emissions, while looking to achieve this by 2025.

O2 Business managing director Jo Bertram said: “O2 is working with businesses across the country to help them embrace digital connectivity as part of our ongoing efforts to rebuild Britain and kick-start the economy following COVID-19.

“We are excited to be working with KPMG to level-up their remote working capabilities in these challenging times.”

KPMG UK COO Timothy Jones added: ““We are continually transforming our business to support the changing needs of our clients and employees, and mobile technology is an important enabler of creating a connected enterprise.”

The implications of the coronavirus lockdown has sped up the need for more reliable remote working access.

A recent report carried out by O2 found that 45 per cent of the workforce expect a permanent change to their company’s approach to flexible working.
