Operator claims more trophies than any other provider in awards run by comparison site uSwitch

O2 has won five awards for its home broadband service from utilities price comparison site uSwitch.

O2 Home Broadband won awards for best broadband provider, fastest mobile broadband, best broadband & home phone, best technical support and best customer service.

The haul of five from a total of 15 awards was praised by O2 head of consumer marketing Martin Bould as evidence of O2’s continued investment and focus on customer services.

However, O2 did not perform as well as it did in 2011, when it won seven out of 11 awards, including best value for money and most recommended, both of which this year went to rival Plusnet.

However, O2 still scooped more awards than any of its competitors.

Bould said: “Over the last few years we have continued to invest heavily in our service and independent research into broadband services and the uSwitch Tech Broadband Awards 2012 wins is the proof that putting quality of service first ensures the best experience available. Something we are very proud of.

“Even though we’re still only young, we’re delighted to add five uSwitch Tech Broadband Awards to the other 63 industry awards that we have already.”
