O2 has rebranded its 377 high street stores with England Rugby’s red rose ahead of the World Cup later this month.

The move has seen the ‘O’ in the mobile operator’s logo replaced by a red rose on store fronts. This will be returned to its original state once the tournament finishes on October 31.

O2 has been an official sponsor of England Rugby since 1995, with the rebrand being the latest move in its Wear The Rose campaign, which aims to encourage the public to get behind the team during the World Cup.

This has included O2 and England Rugby hosting touch rugby events in London, Loughborough, Bath and Manchester from June 13-July 26 to encourage young people to take part in the sport.

‘Wear The Rose Live’ – the official send off event for the England rugby team, is also being held at the O2 arena in London tomorrow evening.

The England squad, coaches and management will be present and will feature live interviews with the players. There will also be a live performance from Take That.
