Nothing has finally launched its long-awaited Nothing Phone (1) smartphone, with the phone starting from £399.

It launches in the UK with exclusive network partner O2, Smartech at Selfridges and Amazon.

After drumming up interest through a number of quirky advertising campaigns, the vendor which is founded by former OnePlus founder Carl Pei has a pre-order list of 200,000.

The Phone (1) features a 50MP dual camera and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset.

“We designed Phone (1) as a product we’d be proud to share with friends and family,” said Pei.

The Phone (1) runs on Android, with its own refined NothingOS, while it also features a glyph interface, which aims to help minimise screen time with glyph notifications.

It has a 6.55-inch OLED display which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Phone (1) is available in either white or block, with three models to choose from: 8GB/128GB (£399), 8GB/256GB (£449) and 12GB/256GB (£499).

Nothing’s Phone (1) will also be available via its own kiosk in Seven Dials, Covent Garden between July 16 and 20, with limited numbers sold each day.
