Qualcomm has released its latest chips which should start shipping in smart phones early next year. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 Mobile Platforms are aimed at the mid-tier and mass-volume segments and show improvements in connectivity, entertainment, and AI.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 has a triple image senspr allowing to capture from three cameras at once with gigapixel speeds. Snapdragon 6 features the7th Gen Qualcomm AI Engine enabling up to 300 per cent improved AI performance compared to its predecessor for intelligent assistance including AI-based activity tracking.
Quicker graphics can render 40 per cent faster. Snapdragon 6 powers HDR gaming at an 60+ fps. Snapdragon 4Gen 1 can offer multi-day battery life dependent on use. The chip is 15 per cent improved compared to the previous generation2.
