The smart watch can provide the wearer with data about their physical activities
Motorola has announced the Moto 360 Sport smart watch (pictured) will go on sale on Dec 18, with prices starting from £219.
The smart watch, available from Motorola’s own website and Amazon, comes with built-in GPS, a heart rate monitor and music player. Runners can use the watch the track distance travelled, overall pace and lap times.
Wearers can also sync the the device to Moto Body, a smartphone app that displays data based on physical activity. It can also be synced with other Android fitness apps, including MapMyRun, Under Armour Record, Strava and Fitbit.
Motorola claims the device’s silicone body is sweat-resistant and won’t fade or stain. The manufacturer says the watch has the world’s first hybrid display that can display information clearly both indoors and outdoors.
Users can also read Gmail messages and calendar invites, traffic and weather reports whilst also being able to read and reply to WhatsApp messages.
Playlists and podcasts from Google Play Music can also be synced and listed to on the device.
