Teresa Gualtieri will train at firm’s Birmingham HQ for six months before returning to Italy to run online retailer’s latest new website in Europe

Online mobile and accessories retailer Mobile Fun has recruited a manager for its recently launched Italian website.

Under a model developed for the launch of the Spanish and Dutch versions of Mobile Fun, Teresa Gualtieri (pictured) will be trained for six months at Mobile Fun’s headquarters in Birmingham before returning to Italy to oversee the site.

Mobile Fun also runs websites in Germany and France, and is planning further international website launches this year.

Mobile Fun head of international Richard Moore said:  “Our strategy of sharing the experience and resources of our UK team with the local knowledge and skills of native-speaking managers has certainly paid off.

“We are currently the top etailer of mobile accessories in the UK and over the next 12 months we have similar plans for a number of International sites across Europe and the rest of the World.

“The international market is a major growth driver for Mobile Fun, with international sales accounting for over 25% of our total orders.

“Although our continuing expansion is a bold move in the current economic climate, having our international managers come over to the UK to work with our UK team has certainly benefited the launch of our Spanish, Dutch and Italian websites.”
