EE has opened its second Experience store in Manchester, a year after the launch of the first Experience store in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.

EE reports that this new store has produced a 25 per cent boost in footfall compared to previous stores in the area. Manchester is now the first city to have two of the new store formats, as part of EE’s £6 million investment in its retail estate this year.

EE claims that Mancunians own more smart devices than residents of any other major city in the UK and that people living in or near Manchester now have an average of five smart devices in their home or on their person, compared to a national average of four.

The new EE Experience store at 33 Market Street features a Welcome Zone, Gaming Zone, collaborative worktops, and product testing areas.

Asif Aziz, Retail Director at EE, said: “Manchester is one of the most plugged-in cities in the UK. We’re opening the doors to a brand-new location that will help even more people explore their relationship with tech.”
