Ethnic MVNO debuts at second place and is joined by Vodafone platinum partners Premier Telecom and PMGC Technology in the league table

Lycamobile has been ranked second in the annual Sunday Times Tech track 100 after achieving annual sales growth of 247.25 per cent.

In the year ending February 2011, the ethnic MVNO, which was set up in 2008 by Subaskaran Allirajah to sell international prepay SIM cards and top-up vouchers, posted sales of £116.8 million.

The Tech Track 100, which was published in the weekly national newspaper last Sunday (September 16), ranks Britain’s 100 private technology companies with the fastest growing sales over the latest three years.

Lycamobile was joined in the table by Vodafone platinum partners Premier Telecom and PMGC Technology.

Premier, which was ranked in 64th position in last year’s list and is headed up by Darren Ridge, retained that position. In the year ending December 2011, it posted sales of £17.39 million, resulting in annual sales growth of 52.11 per cent.

Recently-formed PMGC Technology, which is led by Jason Yeomans, debuted in the league table in 82nd position after posting sales of £12.39 million and annual sales growth of 44.65 per cent in the year to April 2012.

All 100 companies will now attend an awards dinner on November 13 at Vinopolis in central London. Tech Track sponsors Hiscox and Barclays will present a number of special awards, with each of the 100 companies receiving a framed certificate for their achievement.
