The GSMA, the global organisation uniting the world’s mobile ecosystem, is a sponsor for this year’s Mobile News Circular Summit, the UK’s only conference focused on the secondary market channel

Scheduled to take place on October 22-23 at the Park Plaza Riverbank in London, Circular Summit will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss challenges and solutions in the secondary market for mobile devices.

The GSMA’s participation underlines the increasing role that mobile technology and telecommunications can play in this booming market.

The GSMA represents the interests of nearly 750 mobile operators worldwide and more than 400 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem. Its mission is to harness the power of connectivity to deliver growth and innovation while contributing to sustainable global development.

“The GSMA is already active in the sustainability business with initiatives such as the ‘GSMA Mobile for Development‘ and Handset Affordability Coalition, programmes. So we’re pleased they regard our event fits their ethos of encouraging their members to look at ways of making smartphones affordable for all.  We hope to see many GSMA members at Circular Summit to share and compare ideas”.

As part of the GSMA’s involvement with Circular Summit, technical sales director for industry services Vinny Robertson (below) will be discussing how member networks are integrating the secondary market into their strategies.

Circular Summit, which is also supported by flagship sponsor Blackbelt 360 and WJD Repairs, will feature high-level discussions from more than 20 secondary market experts and analysts, to help organisations integrate circular economy principles into their operations and drive more conversations around the critical role of the mobile channel in the circular economy.
