Retailer building a team of 15 account managers as it looks to become a “major player” in the business segment

Get Connected is aiming to make a major assault on the B2B market with the recruitment of up to 15 account managers as it looks to continue its record growth.

The appointments will be a significant step up from the two people currently charged with attracting new accounts in the business arena, with the new staffers based at the retailer’s offices in Abergavenny and Cardiff in Wales.

The EE retailer, which has predominantly focused on consumer mobile connections, has more than 60 stores across Wales and South West England and reported record turnover of £17 million last year, up from £12 million in 2013.

Major player

Get Connected sales director John Harris said: “We are currently looking for a corporate sales manager to form the foundation of the new department, someone with the knowledge and experience to build a successful team of 10 to 15 account managers based in Abergavenny and Cardiff to service existing and new customers in Wales and the Midlands.

“The remainder of 2015 will see Get Connected become a major player in the B2B market place to complement our retail sales.”
