Wade takes over from retiring CPMO Alan Mackie
Gamma has appointed Chris Wade as its new chief marketing and product officer, following the decision of former CPMO Alan Mackie to retire from the company.
Wade (pictured) began the role on January 1, having joined Gamma in December 2020 to work alongside Mackie to “ensure a smooth transition”, the company said in a statement. He reports directly to Gamma CEO Andrew Taylor.
This is Gamma’s second major marketing appointment in recent months, following the appointment of Lauren McManus in the newly created head of channel marketing role.
Prior to joining Gamma, Wade was chief product officer at Aptitude Software. He has also held various leadership roles in businesses within business management provider The Sage Group plc.
“I am proud to be joining the company during a period of such unprecedented change in digital adoption,” said Wade.
“Gamma is a truly innovative company full of knowledgeable and talented people. Our strong reputation in the market perfectly positions us to help businesses embrace digital innovation through the adoption of UCaaS. I will strive to continue building on the company’s great foundations, while further fulfilling our ambitions in the UK and Europe.”
Commenting on Wade’s appointment, Taylor added: “Having worked in a variety of product and marketing roles with a focus on software, Chris brings a fresh perspective to our vision and strategy. We are looking forward to working alongside him to consolidate our position as a leading provider of UCaaS in the UK and European markets.”
